What would be a cool hair style for a black dude w. short black hair?
I don't want an afro or Mohawk or anything, just wondering if there was anything cool I could do with my hair (that doesn't require too much cutting) since right now it's really short. Right now, I'm just brushing my hair to one side, almost like a comb over on top, even though thats not really much to see since my hair isn't very long.On the other hand, I don't really want to dye it or something crazy like swirls or my name. What would be a good cosplay for a girl who has short black hair?
Er... Halloween is coming up and since I didn't get to show off my cosplay at AX this year, I wanna make up for it by having an awesome cosplay this Halloween that I can upstage my friends with. I am a short girl who has short black hair and needs a cosplay. Crossdressing is not my thing. I'm okay-ish with wearing a wig, but i would prefer to use my natural hair. Dying it is out of the question seeing as my parents tell me I'm going to look like a delinquient and threaten with disowning me if i do. I don't want anything that would get me a) arrested or b) have old men harassing me. =w= I've already though of using Lenalee from D.Grayman or Shizune from Naruto.

Should i go from long blonde hair to short black hair?
I'm a big fan of extremes/contrast. i am very pale naturally and i have very blonde hair. i go tanning and my skin is darker than my hair. but i want to try something drastic now because the california girl look is cliche and boring. should i stop tanning and dye my hair black and cut it? im the lead vocalist of my band anyway so i think a rockstar look would be great-whattau think? id post pics to ask you so youd have a better idea but i think posting pics on here is f#ckin creepy...

no, I think a rockstar with blonde hair is alot more attractive than a plain old brunette in a rockband, so cliche. if you want a change try adding a little blue extensions here and there or black extensions here and there on your hair to give you that edgy sexy look, don't cut your hair either, long hair is wished by many :)
Try a light brown first, for a couple of weeks, then go to black. Such a drastic change can really damage your hair, permanately. I think a shoulder length razor cut would be cute, but sexy at the same time. It would make you stand out, but not something that couldn't be accepted in public. Good luck, and hope I helped! ;)

I plan on cosplaying soon, I have short brown hair (a little past my ears) or a short black wig I can wear. I have less than 2 weeks before my con (I've tried up until now to find something to wear and can't find anything) I'm not exactly what you'd call skinny (so nothing tight, maybe something baggy) but anyways, I wear glasses (which may or may not be important....okay so here's the list:)

i constantly change my hair, but due to me dying it so frequently and getting it cut way too often i've run out of styles to do with it, i've literally had everything, and every colour.
so can anyone think of any day-to-day styles that i quickly do in the mornings and stuff that will help cure my boredom with it?
it can be as complicated or easy as you like really, i just want to do something different with it again, because at the moment, all i seem to do with it is either straighten the long side, or leave it naturally wavy.I have short black hair..?
You should in 6-8 weeks after dying your hair, get this shampoo to keep the color in: Tresemme color protection. It will help with keeping the dye in your hair. Try using some gel in your hair and playing with it. If it's long enough, try some cute curls and curl it! Just play with it and overtime you will find a cute style.

Purple would be great because it evens out you white/olive skin tones while sharpening your eyes, making them pop, and softening the dark color of your hair. Also a pale pink would look rather nice if you wanted to really compliment your hair.

It sounds like you might be jewel tone. But I could be wrong. Look on the bottom of your wrist at the vein. If it is blue you are winter colors and if it is more green then you are summer colors. Browns...of course, because of your eye color. Also try greens, they make your eyes pop. I advise you to stay away from the color orange though. Also try satin in pinks or salmons. For certain you most likely sound like dull or pastal colors are a no. But you should look at your vein first. Same goes for make-up as well.
Browns...of course, because of your eye color. Also try greens, they make your eyes pop. I advise you to stay away from the color orange though. Also try satin in pinks or salmons. Royal purple makes your hair look shiny and soft. It gives your skin a radiant glow too. And the last color is red. Reds look really good on everyone (except if you are really pale), it gives you an edgy/sweet look.
Cool and Soft colors will look great on you. Even in makeup. Keep it light on the makeup though since your hair is dark. And with your hair short, a choker necklace will accentuate your face/hair. :-)
hm, i would say go with the purple nothing goes bad with purple. pink looks good with dark hair. but the brightest purple looks good, think of jlo, look at the colors she wears and compair.

BUT YOU MUST AVOID:
yellow and/or green lol =)

For makeup - don't try anything to bright and rainbow-ish such as yellow and blue eyeshadow. The smokey-eyed look would look awesome and for blush, go gently with a dark pink. Any lipstick is fine. Anything else like mascara or concealer is fine.

I've seen Rei Ayanami cosplayed with a light blue wig, but I've also seen her done with black hair with blue highlights, that means just a blue rinse. Her hair is short though long enough to get in her eyes. The original form of her 'plugsuit' is long sleeved, though they are sometimes cut away to bandage her when she is injured.
People seem to like the plugsuit, as it is skintight, though she is very slender. Read the manga or watch the animes on line to get an idea of what the character is like. She is such an interesting character.

i dont suggest it. I did it and you have to first bleach where you want pick (it screws up your hair soooo bad) and you have to dye it pink again every 2 weeks. You will be wasting money and if you dont dye them pink all the time they start to look like sh*t

Hey, I think cutting your hair and dying it black would make you look like Alice Cullen from Twilight, so if you like her hair length and color then yea it would look great. I don't think you should dye it black though because it's so harsh and tends to make people look washed out and very pale. I think the cut would look really good though. Hope it helped! good luck!

I need help picking out a good haircut. I have straight short black hair and i have no idea what to do?

Hmm..To dye it lighter you may have to bleach it which isn't good for your hair. Why don't you try Natural Instincts Semi-Permanent Hair Dye. It will wash out eventually. (My black dye has been in since January) If it doesn't work just dye it black to brown. It should at least turn out a little bit lighter. It's a box kit so you might wanna take it to someone you know who does hair that won't charge you for help with it. As for the black highlights...I don't really know. I have brown hair with black all along the underneath part of my hair with a streak in my bangs..You could try that.
