I have short black hair with red hilights. I want to dye it to a medium brown with black hilights. Suggestions

Hmm..To dye it lighter you may have to bleach it which isn't good for your hair. Why don't you try Natural Instincts Semi-Permanent Hair Dye. It will wash out eventually. (My black dye has been in since January) If it doesn't work just dye it black to brown. It should at least turn out a little bit lighter. It's a box kit so you might wanna take it to someone you know who does hair that won't charge you for help with it. As for the black highlights...I don't really know. I have brown hair with black all along the underneath part of my hair with a streak in my bangs..You could try that.
