I do like the cut and you have a cute baby face i think the style would look nice BUT the very dark black a little iffy. you have pretty freckles and it may be to dark for you. Why not try a dark brown.

I think you could definitely get away with the shorter cut. I don't know if the very dark black would be flattering. It looks like your skin is lighter and pale (like mine). Having black hair washes me out and makes me look sickly. Maybe a dark, deep brown would be a better color choice.
