I have very short black hair,olive skin and hazel eyes that are brown on the inside and green on the outside?

What colour makeup would suit me to bring out the colours in my eyes and complexion.I have been told that greens,blues,reds,browns,purples and creams are the way to go.

I have hazel eyes and personally, if I want my eyes to look intensely green, I use purples. Reds also make them look greener, but at least on me purple is the most intense. (This could be opposite for you since I have very, very pale skin.) Browns are the other most flattering color and they make my eyes look a little bit greener.





Really I think you will need to just experiment to see what colors do with your skin tone, but I would recommend purples and reds if you would like greener eyes. The reason that works is red and green are complimentary colors on the color wheel (exactly opposite of each other). You can also go one space to either side of the compliment, which is why purple works too. It's just basic color theory. use colours that will complement the whole look... i would avoid blues and purples unless it suits perfectly what you're wearing...





go for greens certainly, try find a shade that compliments the green in your eyes, smudge some browns but with beiges, and glitters for a shiny evening look, would look fine...





pink with bronze and shiny dark brown would look really nice
I agree indeed it works. I have blue eyes and tried a purple eyeshadow and it really did bring out the Colour and complexion. seen as you have hazel eyes I would try a red or yellow.
I think and purple eyeshadow would look great on your eyes. It'll bring out the green so will a blue.
